The first thing that makes the Nishikawana sea so appealing in winter is its excellent visibility! It is almost never the case that visibility becomes significantly worse.

You will often encounter seasonal migratory fish that are unique to this time of year. There will also be many wrasse-type fish, such as the striped angelfish, the southern angelfish, and the juvenile black wrasse. There will also be an increase in sea slugs. You can also enjoy small ones.

Now you can see the whole area, so it's the perfect time to dive in and learn the terrain!

There are fewer fish than at peak times, but there are still plenty of bottom-dwelling fish such as grouper and bald porgy, and when the tide is good they gather around the bottoms. Wide diving is just as fun as always.

The sandy river on the west side is really beautiful at this time of year!

I think it will be an interesting time from now on. The visibility is excellent, so you can see the fish very well, and by gradually approaching from a distance, you can get close to the fish without startling them and observe them, and take your time taking photos and videos.

Winter is a great time to enjoy wide terrains such as V-shaped valleys and rockfish valleys, as you can expect excellent visibility.

The schools of blackfin sea bass in shallow waters are only seen at this time of year. You can expect to find some fishing reefs.

The water temperature has remained high at 15-16 degrees for the past few years, and we can expect similar conditions this year.

The visibility of the Nishikawana Sea in winter is very good. There are also many fish. You can also see many of my favorite species, such as the  "HIGEDAI" (long barbeled grunter) and the  "KUE" (longtooth grouper). Please enjoy diving in the Nishikawa sea in winter.
